[RELEASE] Subaru STi Skin 2.0 (Updated 10/10/08)

I'm extremely thrilled and proud to announce the release of the first user-contributed skin for the DashDAQ. I have modeled this skin to match the interior and factory gauges of the 2004-2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STi.

To install, simply download the attached .zip file which contains a .ddskin and a .tga file. Place both files into a folder named "transfer" (w/o quotes) on your memory card and install them through the DashDAQ settings screen. The .ddskin file contains the skin itself while the .tga file contains an STi-themed boot screen.

Please submit any comments and suggestions here as well as your own feedback with using this skin. I'll be continually releasing updates to this skin to take advantage of the latest DashDAQ functionality. Some features I'm working on right now include:

* Smaller navigation buttons
* More gauge layouts
* Vertical/horizontal "bar style" gauges
* Green version for our WRX buddies

sweet, that looks awesome. does this mean we have the means to make our own skins at this point? how do we make a .ddskin? I would so love to make a bmw style one.

Wonderful job! This is an excellent example of what can be done with DashDAQ's graphical gauge system. I know we posted a download of the skin editor on the Beta forums for a short time, but pulled it off because it needed a little more refinement. It be coming out fairly soon (sorry I don't have a date). When the final skin editing program comes out, we hope that a bunch of you guys will get involved and make awesome skins that will be posted on DashDAQ.com. Any user could possibly have a skin that is a favorite among DashDAQ users worldwide!

That is awesome, thanks for uploading! This skin matches the interior of my S2000 much better than any of the nice preloaded skins.

If you don't mind a "non" STI'er doing so, I'm going to sport this one until that Skin editor is released!

I wasn't able to load the skin...

I was able to successfully install it to the DD, but after highlighting it under "setup theme" and pressing "save" it gives me this error message:
"unsupported skin package: 105"


Any suggestions?

What version of the Firmware are using? You can view this as the last line that comes up on the DashDAQ startup screen. Sharum, what version are you using?

You *may* need to be running one of the newer beta firmware versions... One of the dev's can confirm.
